Windows Phone Book

The Phone Book started as a project to encourage App developers to start designing by picking up a pencil rather than starting in code. It's aim was to encourage sketching before putting together finished products.

The book featured different elements to help reluctant sketchers pick up a pencil and mark the page. Including a stencil and a paper prototype to test out digital designs in an analogue way.

We were commissioned by Microsoft and Windows Phone to create these books and a second run was produced for Nokia.

Stanley James Press designed the layout and construction of the books as well as letterpress printing final elements and hand binding the final books.
